Saxonia

Saxonia is a 34ft Bawley built by Aldous of Brightlingsea in 1930. She came to the yard for a big refit. She’s had her sheer planks, covering boards, stauntions, bulwarks and capping rails replaced. We have also repaired her mast and gave her a paint job.

Iverna

‘Iverna’ is a 24ft Lugsail rigged day sailor. She was designed by world famous yacht designer Willian Fife. She is undergoing a complete restoration and will be largely new once completed. She has an Oak and Iroko centreline with Mahogany planking.

Wallop

Wallop came to the yard for a new deck planking but after the deck was removed it became obvious that more would need to be done. She had had her sheer stakes replaced along with beam shelves, all new deck beams and deck planking.

Priscilla

The Essex sailing smack “Priscilla” went under complete restoration by Pioneer Sailing Trust and was launched in 2014 , however because they had to meet a deadline the interior was never complete so in the winter of 2016 we started building an interior for her. I have fitted 3 births, chart table, half bulk head and aft engine step.

Lillian

“Lillian” is a 30 foot Gravesend Bawley that I have owned since 2015 she was build in 1869 and is still very original. So far I have taken the deck off her and have started the re-framing process. I am planning on replacing most of her frames, all of her floors, her deck, rails and Rig.

Deva

Deva is a 23ft Morecambe Bay prawner built in 1912 by Crossfield of Arnside. I bought her in may 2019 to repair her and get her sailing again. ‘Deva’ is a very well known east cost boat because of her old owner John Wainwright. John wrote a book called ‘Only so many tides’ all about his experience with ‘Deva’. I have replaced her arch board and horn timber and have started on planking repairs at the aft end. As well, her stem will need replacing.
